Mr. Fred Barlow, Principal
Mr. Fred Barlow is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. After completion of high school, he moved to Murfreesboro, TN. to attend Middle Tennessee State University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Intrumental Music Education. He later returned to MTSU, receiving his Masters of Education and his Specialist in Education degrees. He taught 22 years as a middle and high school band director in Hickman, Williamson and Rutherford Counties before becoming an Assistant Principal at Smyrna Middle School. He was named Rockvale Middle School's Principal in 2008.

Mrs. April Sneed is in her 12th year as an educator.  Mrs. Sneed began her career as a 10th grade English teacher at Page High School.  However, she has spent the majority of her career teaching middle school language arts at Cedar Grove Elementary, Smyrna West Alternative School, and Rock Springs Middle School.  As a teacher, she served as a Dean of Students, coached cheerleading and dance, sponsored student council, and chaired a number of committees. Mrs. Sneed has earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English as well as a Master’s of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Mrs. Sneed currently resides in Smyrna with her husband, David, a business analyst at Nissan.  Together they have two daughters:  Amity, 17, a senior at Smyrna High School, and Brylee, age four.  Mrs. Sneed looks forward to working with the community of students, teachers, and parents to make this a successful and memorable year for the students of Rockvale Middle.

Mrs. Jennifer Clark, Asst. Principal

Mrs. Jennifer Clark is beginning her 14th year as an educator. Mrs. Clark has been a part of the Rockvale Middle faculty since the school opened in 2008. Before coming to Rockvale, she taught at Smyrna Middle and Rock Springs Middle Schools. Mrs. Clark earned her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Cumberland University in 1999 and her Master's Degree and Educational Specialist Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Mrs. Clark is ver excited about the opportunity to serve Rockvale Middle in a leadership position.
A native of Rutherford County, Mrs. Clark currently resides in Murfreesboro with her husband, Nate Clark. Nate is a custom furniture designer and owner of Clark Custom Furniture.
